EOTN: Purple/Green Christina Aguilera inpsired

Hmm, I meant to post this a few nights ago. Didn't realize I saved it as a draft and never published it. haha.

I got my inspiration for this look from a picture of Christina that I love. It didn't come out exactly as I planned because I didn't have the right colors. Click for pictures. =) Here's the inspiration pic. I'd love to do my bangs like that, if only I had the guts and the bone structure she has haha.



Here's my version. Pics are washed out, OF COURSE. Grrr. The colors were much more vibrant and closer to hers in real life. I am not happy with the green though. I hate Pastorale! lol. It always wears off no matter what base I use. =/ Excuse my red puffy eyes too, I have horrid allergies =(

E.L.F. Haul

I had a 50% off code so I made a small E.L.F. haul last week. It came today =D I've been impressed by E.L.F's Studio line lately. I needed some organizers so I got a large and small holder, some brush shampoo, and a blush. They gave me the candy shop lipgloss for free. The brush holders are actually very nice. I smell a NARS design rip-off here but I'm not complaining. The outside of the holders has that lovely velvety smooth texture of NARS packaging. It says on the box though that it is easy to clean. I'm hoping that's true. Anyone who own any NARS products knows how hard it is to keep those suckers clean!

I haven't tried the brush shampoo yet but I've heard good things about it. It's anti-bacterial which I think will be beneficial for me, since I seem to break out from my blush brushes a lot.

The blush itself is very pretty too. It's full of glitter though, which I don't mind. If you hate glitter though, stay away from this one!

FOTN FAIL

Well, tonight sucked. I spent over an hour on my makeup and it came out looking like crap. I tried to to do a sparkly silver smoky eye. Smoky silver eyes are one of my favorite looks and I wanted to play it up a little with some silver glitter because my boyfriend likes me sparkly. Everything was coming out just fine until I started messing with the stinkin' glitter. lol. I used my pixie epoxy and some silver Sephora loose glitter. It was looking great at first, the epoxy was working great and it was sticking strong. I think I overdid it with the glitter though, I ended up putting it on too high above the crease and messing up my crease work. When I tried to fix the crease work it was impossible to blend because it had epoxy on it. *Sigh* Oh well, I will try it again soon and see if I can get it to look better. My BF said he liked it and I guess it's not the most awful thing ever, but I know I can do way better! Next time Gadget... Next time!
